The Town of Winthrop held a rededication ceremony for the new Wallace B. McClean Tennis Courts. Mr. McClean was a science, physical training, and driver safety teacher at Winthrop High School in the mid-1950s. He received his bachelor’s degree from Rhode Island State College in 1929 and attended graduate school at Harvard University. The original tennis courts and the old Winthrop High School were built in 1965.
