Center Business District Project Construction Updates

The following is a summary of the work completed the past two weeks and the work P. Gioioso & Sons, Inc. (contractor) has scheduled through June 3. Please note, the anticipated schedule may vary due to unforeseen site conditions, weather conditions, or other factors out of the contractor’s control.

Construction Updates and Schedule:

Work completed (5/16/22 to 5/20/22):

• Completed final paving on Woodside Avenue, Hagman Road, Putnam Street, Putnam Place, Jefferson Street, and Hagman Road Parking Lot.

• Installed concrete apron at Brookfield Road from Edgehill Road to Lincoln Street.

• Installed patio furnishings in French Square.

• Installed trees around the site.

• Installed sprinkler system at French Square.

Schedule (5/23/22 to 6/3/22):

May 23 to May 27, 2022:

• Continue working through sidewalk punch list items.

• Complete landscaping installation around the site.

• Continue installing porous pave at tree pits.

• Continue installing signage around the site.

• Continue sidewalk and driveway installations on Brookfield Road.

Traffic Management (M-F, 7 AM to 4 PM):

Monday to Wednesday: The CBD can be accessed from Somerset Avenue, Cottage Park Road, Jefferson Street, and Woodside Avenue during construction hours (7 AM to 4 PM). Hagman Road and Bartlett Road will be open during construction hours (7 AM to 4 PM) to exit the CBD.

For Work being performed in French Square, and other various site Work: parking will be restricted within the immediate work area. No parking signs will be posted in advance of Work. Localized road shutdowns will be coordinated with the Owner as required. Access and egress into French Square will be maintained throughout scheduled Work.

May 31 to June 3, 2022 (Memorial Day May 30):

• Finish sidewalk punch list items.

• Prepare for mobilization to Pleasant Street.

Traffic Management (T-F, 7 AM to 4 PM):
