Upcoming Winthrop Art Assoc. Events

Dear Editor:

The Winthrop Art Association is pleased to announce a series of summer and fall art events being held in Winthrop.  Nourish @ Katie’s Kitchen in Michael’s Mall offers delicious meal treats and an art display of Art Association members and area artists.  The current display, Summer in Winthrop features familiar, and not so familiar local landmarks, beach scenes and summer fun.  It’s worth a visit to enjoy a meal treat and local art.  Most art pieces are available for sale.  The annual Art in the Park will again be held on Saturday June 25, July 23 and August 20 from 10 AM – 2PM at Crest Avenue Park featuring art and craft artists, live music and crafts for kids.  Max Whiting’s Musicmakers, Ralph Tufo’s Squeezebox Stompers and other area musicians will be featured to enhance the experience.

The Winthrop Public Library Art Display features Art Association artists James Calabrese, Caroline Stella, Jim Gallagher, Phyllis Poor and Richard Gay.  An Artists Reception will be held on Saturday, May 28 at 2PM.

The Winthrop Art Association is also pleased to bring back the Annual Art Festival after a modified event during the covid pandemic.  The Art Festival 22 will be held October 22-23 at the EB Newton Cultural Center with a juried art exhibit and art and craft fair of local artists.

The annual Jazz Brunch will be held on November 6 at the EB Newton Cultural Center.  The Art Association is also planning a series of Artist Demos for the summer and fall.  We look forward to announcing the details as these events are finalized.
