Driscoll Announces Parks and Rec April School Vacation Schedule

Sean Driscoll, director of the Parks and Recreation Department, said temperatures are expected to be in the low 60s Thursday, April 21, for the Parks and Recreation Department’s trip to Fenway Park for the Blue Jays-Red Sox game.

“We still have some tickets available,” said Driscoll, in announcing one of the highlights of the Parks and Rec April school vacation schedule.

The schedule also includes open gym at the Memorial Gymnasium Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday. The program is run in coordination with the Winthrop Police.

There will be a full-day school vacation camp (7:30 a.m. to 5 p.m.), also on Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday.

Driscoll also announced the first-ever Spring Fair and Craft Show to be held Saturday, May 21 at Ingleside Park. The show is being held in coordination with Bike Winthrop, who is hosting its Bike Day and Rodeo at that time.
