The following is a summary of the work completed this week and the work P. Gioioso & Sons, Inc. (contractor) has scheduled for the next two weeks. Please note, the anticipated schedule may vary due to unforeseen site conditions, weather conditions, or other factors out of the contractor’s control.
Construction Updates and Schedule:
Work completed this week (3/28/22 to 4/1/22):
• Completed western half of concrete sidewalk sections in French Square.
• Finished resetting granite curb on Jefferson Street.
• Installed new granite curb around the eastern side of Citizens Bank parking lot.
• Finished sidewalk grading layout for Jefferson Street sidewalks.
• Applied sealant at expansion joints between stamped concrete and concrete sidewalk.
Two-Week Anticipated
Schedule (4/4/22 to 4/15/22):
April 4 to April 8, 2022:
Scheduled Work:
• Continue installing new granite curb around Citizens Bank parking lot.
• Begin stamped concrete installation at French Square.
• Continue concrete sidewalk installation at French Square.
• Raise castings on Somerset Avenue and Cottage Park Road.
• Complete sidewalks on Jefferson Street north side.
Traffic Management (M-F, 7 AM to 4 PM):
The CBD can be accessed from Woodside Avenue during construction hours (7 AM to 4 PM). Hagman Road and Bartlett Road will be open during construction hours (7 AM to 4 PM) to exit the CBD.
Jefferson Street from Fremont Street to Putnam Street, Somerset Avenue and Cottage Park Road will be closed next week during construction hours (7 AM to 4 PM). Police details and detours will be in place.
For Work being performed in French Square, Somerset Avenue, Cottage Park Road, and Jefferson Street: parking will be restricted within the immediate work area no parking signs will be posted in advance of work. Localized road shutdowns will be coordinated with the Owner as required. Access and egress into French Square will be maintained throughout scheduled work.
April 11 to April 15, 2022:
Scheduled Work:
• Raise castings on Woodside Avenue, Bartlett Road, and Adams Street.
• Complete sidewalks on Jefferson Street South and Jefferson Street driveways.
• Continue concrete sidewalk and stamped concrete installation at French Square.

The CBD can be accessed from Somerset Avenue and Cottage Park Road during construction hours (7 AM to 4 PM). Bartlett and Hagman Road will be open during construction hours (7 AM to 4 PM) to exit the CBD.
