True Announces for Library Trustee

Alyssa True has announced her candidacy for Trustee of the Public Library. The following is her statement:

My name is Alyssa True, and I am pleased to announce my candidacy for Trustee of the Winthrop Public Library. As a lifelong Winthrop resident, I have always felt a deep connection to my hometown library. In high school I volunteered for the Friends of the Winthrop Library at the bookstore and on the newsletter. Later, I worked at the library as a library assistant while and after achieving my Masters degree in Library and Information Science. These different perspectives mean I know its great potential from both sides of the circulation desk. In addition, my current job as a reference librarian at another public library means I am constantly being exposed to new ideas. I would relish the opportunity to help give back to Winthrop by serving as a Trustee.
