Boston City Councillor Lydia Edwards, candidate for the State Senate in the Dec. 14 special election, opened a campaign office Sunday Sept. 19, at 130 Shirley St., Winthrop.
“It’s truly grassroots, we’re meeting people where they are,†said Edwards, who was joined by several supporters at the grand opening. “We really want to show we’re dedicated to Winthrop and the people who live here. We want to hear from them every single day, and we’ll be out here every single day earning their votes. We’re proud to be here. It’s going to be a true grassroots campaign, for the people, by the people.â€
