Construction Update: What’s Going on in the Center Business District

The following is a summary of the work completed this week and the work P. Gioioso & Sons, Inc. (contractor) has scheduled for the next two weeks. Please note, the anticipated schedule may vary due to unforeseen site conditions, weather conditions, or other factors out of the contractor’s control.

Construction Updates and Schedule:

Work completed this week (5/3/21 to 5/7/21):

• Construction of storm drain improvements on Somerset Avenue, between Cottage Park Road and Pleasant Street.

Two-Week Anticipated Schedule

(5/10/21 to 5/21/21)

May 10 to May 14, 2021:

Scheduled Work:

• Construction of storm drain improvements on Somerset Avenue between Cottage Park Road and Pleasant Street.

Traffic Management (M-F 5/10 to 5/14; 7 AM to 4 PM):

• The CBD can be accessed from Cottage Park Road, Woodside Avenue, and Jefferson Street during construction hours (7 AM to 4 PM). Hagman Road and Bartlett Road will be open during construction hours (7 AM to 4 PM) to exit the CBD.

• Somerset Avenue will be closed at Pleasant Street. Access will be permitted to local residents and businesses.

May 17 to May 21, 2021

Scheduled Work:

• Construction of storm drain improvements on Somerset Avenue, between Cottage Park Road and Pleasant Street.

• Construction of storm drain improvements on Cottage Park Road, at the intersection of Somerset Avenue, and on Cottage Park Road between Somerset Avenue and Pleasant Street.

Traffic Management (Somerset Avenue work; 7 AM to 4 PM):

The CBD can be accessed from Woodside Avenue, Jefferson Street and Cottage Park Road during construction hours (7 AM to 4 PM). Hagman Road and Bartlett Road will be open during construction hours (7 AM to 4 PM) to exit the CBD.

Somerset Avenue will be closed at Pleasant Street. Access will be permitted to local residents and businesses.
