Winthrop’s Biennial Town Election will be held on Tuesday, November 2, 2021.
The following races will be on the ballot:

• Council President — 2 years — 1
• Councilor At-Large — 2 years — 1
• Library Trustee — 2 years — 1
• School Committee — 2 years — 3
• Precinct 1 — 4 years — 1
• Precinct 3 — 4 years — 1
• Precinct 5 — 4 years — 1
• Housing Authority — 4 years — 1
Nomination papers will be available on Wednesday, May 5, 2021. Papers must be returned to the Town Clerk’s office no later than Tuesday, September 14, 2021 at 4 p.m.
The last day to withdraw Nomination papers is Monday, Sept. 27, 2021 at 4 p.m. Town wide offices need at least 150 certified signatures. Precinct races need at least 50 certified signatures.
Candidates are advised to return their papers to the Clerk’s office as soon as possible to be certain that you have enough signatures to be placed on the ballot. Please call 617-846-1742 with any questions.
