Monday, April 5
0740: An officer responded to a minor two-car motor vehicle accident (MVA) on Pleasant St. near the Pleasant Park Y.C. and assisted the parties with the exchange of papers.
0912: A caller reported that he almost was struck by a motor vehicle (MV) with Maine plates while he was in the crosswalk on Crest Ave. and kicked the tire of the MV. The caller said that the operator of the MV got out of the car and punched him in the head. The caller declined medical attention. Officers were unable to locate the vehicle in question. The officer filed a report.
1643: A caller reported that her MV was struck by a hit-and-run operator while her MV was parked on Cottage Ave. There was minor damage to the left rear of the victim’s MV. The officer filed a report.
1655: A caller reported that his MV was struck by a passing scooter while his MV was parked on Cottage Park Rd. A neighbor will look through video footage. The officer filed a report.
2337: An officer dispersed a homeless person in a MV from the end of Kennedy Rd.
Tuesday, April 6
1700: An officer assisted a family with the installation of a child car seat.
1746: A resident came into the staton to report a case of identity theft.
1800: An officer filed a report concerning a past breaking & entering (B&E) into a building on Banks St.
2014: A resident came into the station to report that his son had been the victim of an assault & battery (A&B) the day before at the basketball court on Walden St. The officer filed a report.
Wednesday, April 7
0102: An officer responding to a report of persons in two motor vehicles (MV) acting suspiciously on Johnson Ave. gave a citation to the owner of one of the vehicles for the criminal offense of operating a MV with a registration revoked for insurance cancellation. The MV was towed.
1318: A resident came into the station to report a case of identity theft.
1533: An officer assisted a family with the installation of a child car seat.
1709: An officer directed the owner of a MV impeding access to a driveway on Revere St. to move the MV.
Thursday, April 8
1205: An officer following-up on an investigation arrested Sandra Quintal, 60, of 38 Sturgis St., for the criminal offense of illegal possession of a Class A controlled narcotic substance.
1207: An officer stopped a MV on Shore Drive and arrested Bello Matos, 21, of East Boston, for the criminal offenses of illegal possession of a Class B controlled narcotic substance with intent to distribute, trafficking in more than 10 grams of fentanyl, illegal possession of a Class A controlled narcotic substance with intent to distribute, and operating a motor vehicle with a suspended license. He also was cited for the civil motor vehicle infraction of a number plate violation. The vehicle was towed.
1630: The State Police reported that a person was flying a drone in restricted air space. A Winthrop officer spoke to a Woodside Ave. resident who said he was using the drone to check on his roof because of animals and that he was unaware of the restriction.
Friday, April 9
0130: An officer issued parking tickets to four vehicles on Hutchinson St.
0826: An officer assisted a family with the installation of a child car seat.
1126: An officer stopped a motor vehicle (MV) on Main St. for the civil infraction of a red light violation. The officer gave a verbal warning to the operator.
1338: An officer assisted the parties with the exchange of papers at a minor motor vehicle accident on Wave Way Ave.
1420: An officer responded to an initial report of a pedestrian being struck by a motor vehicle at Wave Way Ave. and Shore Drive. Family members of the victim were notified and officers turned over a scooter to them.
1524: A report of a dead squirrel in the middle of Buchanan St. was referred to the DPW.
1656: An officer stopped a motor vehicle (MV) on Shirley St. for a civil infraction and gave a verbal warning to the operator.
1815: An officer stopped a motor vehicle (MV) on Revere St. for the civil infraction of a red light violation. The officer gave a verbal warning to the operator.
2044: An officer responded to a report of two neighbors arguing over a parking space on Burrill Terrace. The officer spoke to both parties and restored the peace.
2201: An officer stopped a motor vehicle (MV) at Pleasant and Main Sts. for the civil infraction of speeding. The officer gave a verbal warning to the operator.
Saturday, April 10
0920: A caller reported that a nude female was on Yirrell Beach doing a photo shoot. The officer informed the parties of the public decency laws.
1312: An officer responded to a report of an assault on Beach Rd. The officer filed a report.
1318: An officer stopped a motor vehicle (MV) on Main St. for a civil infraction and gave a verbal warning to the operator.
1631: An officer filed a report regarding a hit-and-run MVA in the 300 block of Revere St.
1952: An officer stopped a motor vehicle (MV) on Washington Ave. for the civil infraction of not having its headlights on. The officer gave a verbal warning to the operator.
Sunday, April 11
0303: An officer issued a parking ticket to a MV on Sea Foam Ave.
0420: An officer responded to a motor vehicle accident (MVA) on Elliot St. in which a MV struck a utility pole. The operator stated that someone had run into the middle of the road and he had to swerve to avoid striking the person. The operator declined medical attention and his MV was towed.
1245: An officer stopped a motor vehicle (MV) at Winthrop and Atlantic Sts. for a civil infraction and gave a verbal warning to the operator.
1307: An officer stopped a motor vehicle (MV) at Main and Hermon Sts. for the civil infraction of a red light violation. The officer gave a verbal warning to the operator.
1420: An officer responded to a report of a disturbance among a group of neighbors in the 500 block of Shirley St. The officer spoke to the parties and restored the peace.
1659: An officer responded to a report of a MV blocking a driveway on Beach Rd. The officer contacted the registered owner of the MV, who came out to move it.
1931: An officer stopped a motor vehicle (MV) on Revere St. for a civil infraction and gave a verbal warning to the operator.
1938: An officer stopped a motor vehicle (MV) at Main and Hermon Sts. for the civil infraction of making an improper turn. The officer gave a verbal warning to the operator.
Monday, April 12
0023: An officer stopped a motor vehicle (MV) at Main and Beal Sts. for the civil infraction of speeding. The officer gave a verbal warning to the operator.
0036: An officer stopped a motor vehicle (MV) at Grovers and Crest Aves. after almost being struck by the vehicle. The officer arrested the operator, Kevin Palacio Clavijo, 19, of Revere, for the criminal offenses of unlicensed operation of a MV and possession of a false Registry document. The MV was towed. Officers attempted to contact the parents of a female juvenile from Maine who was a passenger in the MV, but she was uncooperative. The officers then contacted DCF.
