The following incident reports are among the calls to which the Winthrop Police Department responded on the listed dates:

Monday, Dec. 21

0857: A resident came into the station to report that the rear of her motor vehicle (MV) had been struck by a hit-and-run operator while parked in the municipal lot of Putnam St. The officer filed a report.

1124: An officer responded to a minor motor vehicle accident (MVA) on Revere St. in which a MV was sideswiped, causing minor damage. The officer assisted the parties with the exchange of papers.

1127: A resident came to the station to report that her identity had been used in an attempt to file a fraudulent claim for unemployment. The officer filed a report.

1243: Officers assisted with traffic control at the COVID testing site in the Centre. At least 30 cars were going the wrong way on Lincoln St.

1306: An officer stopped a motor vehicle (MV) at McGee’s Corner for the civil infraction of making an illegal left turn. The officer gave a verbal warning to the operator, who is from out-of-town and working at a job site nearby.

1354: An officer issued a citation to a motor vehicle operator who almost struck the officer while he was conducting traffic control at the COVID testing site.

1621: An officer moved along a MV that was double-parked on Enfield Rd. and making it difficult for vehicles to pass by.

1655: An officer responded to a report of a MV cutting the line on Pauline St. near the COVID test site. The operator said he was unaware that he had been cutting the line.

1919: An officer stopped a motor vehicle (MV) at Lincoln and Beal Sts. for the civil infraction of operating without its headlights after dark. The officer gave a verbal warning to the operator.

1954: A resident called the station to report that her identity had been stolen and that several out-of-state charges had been made to her bank account. The officer filed a report.

2117: An officer dispersed a MV from the parking lot at Short Beach.

Tuesday, Dec. 22

0131: An officer stopped a motor vehicle (MV) on Banks St. for the civil infraction of a license plate violation. The officer gave a verbal warning to the operator.

0216: An officer stopped a motor vehicle (MV) at Main and Payson Sts. for a civil infraction and gave a verbal warning to the operator.

1426: A person came into the station to report that her MV had been struck while parked on Overlook Drive. The officer filed a report.

1433: A resident came into the station to report that she had given money to a person she had met on the internet after the person started making threats. The officer filed a report.

1931: An officer assisted the parties with the exchange of papers at a minor motor vehicle accident.

Wednesday, Dec. 23

0054: An officer directed persons playing music loudly at a boat docked at Atlantis Marina to turn down the volume.

0831: A resident came into the station to report that he had been the victim of a fraud. The officer filed a report.

0920: A resident came to the station to report that he had been scammed out of a large sum of money. The officer filed a report.

1046: An officer assisted the parties with the exchange of papers at a minor MVA at the CVS on Woodside Ave. A CVS truck had backed into another MV, causing minor damage.

1107: Officers responded to a MVA near the high school. One person was injured and was transported to the MGH. The MV was towed.

1516: An officer stopped a motor vehicle (MV) at Main and Pleasant Sts. for a civil infraction and gave a verbal warning to the operator.

1959: An Underhill St. resident reported that the back windshield on his van had been shattered by a vandal.

Thursday, Dec. 24

0805: A resident came into the station to report being the victim of identity fraud.

1414: A Mermaid Ave. resident reported that her MV had been vandalized. The officer filed a report.

2007: A Bartlett Rd. resident reported finding a dog on the loose in the neighborhood and had taken it to his home. The dog eventually was reunited with the owner.

Friday, Dec. 25

1440: An officer responded to a report of a MV partially blocking a driveway on Plummer Ave. The owner moved the vehicle.

1657: An Almont St. resident reported the larceny of jewelry. The officer filed a report.

1658: An officer assisted the parties at a minor MVA at Pleasant and Brookfield Sts. with the exchange of papers.

1830: A Summit Ave. resident reported finding a dog on the loose in the neighborhood and had taken it to her home. The dog eventually was reunited with the owner.

1941: An officer directed persons staying at the Extended Stay on Shirley St. to turn down their loud music.

2348: An officer stopped a motor vehicle (MV) at Shirley St. and Neptune Ave. for the civil infraction of a stop sign violation. The officer gave a verbal warning to the operator.

Saturday, Dec. 26

1034: A Shirley St. resident reported being the victim of an assault & battery during the night. The officer filed a report.

1500: An officer assisted the parties with the exchange of papers regarding a MVA that occurred a week previously at the apartment complex parking lot on Walden St.

1506: An officer stopped a motor vehicle (MV) at Winthrop and Ocean View Sts. for the civil infraction of a stop sign violation. The officer gave a verbal warning to the operator.

1644: An officer stopped a motor vehicle (MV) at Walden and Lincoln Sts. for a civil infraction. The officer gave a verbal warning to the operator.

1828: An officer dispersed persons in a MV from Hannaford Park.

1855: An officer stopped a MV at Walden and Main Sts. When the officer determined that the operator did not have a valid driver’s license, he issued a citation to the operator for the criminal offense of operating a MV without a valid license. A licensed operator came by to take control of the vehicle.

Sunday, Dec. 27

0422: Officers assisted at the scene of a fire in the 900 block of Shirley St.

0949: An officer restored the peace between a tenant and landlord who were arguing at their premises on Nevada St.

0958: A resident came into the station to report two separate incidents of identity theft.

Monday, Dec. 28

0030: An officer stopped a motor vehicle (MV) on Main St. for the civil infraction of a red light violation. The officer issued a citation to the operator.
