Monday, Oct. 26

0719: An officer ordered a tow for a motor vehicle (MV) that was parked in the “No Parking Construction Zone” area at Winthrop and Morton Sts.

1252: An officer stopped a motor scooter on Revere St. When the operator was unable to produce a valid Massachusetts license or a registration for the scooter, the officer followed the operator home so that he could place the scooter on his private property.

1342: An officer stopped a motor vehicle (MV) on Revere St. for a civil motor vehicle infraction (CMVI) and gave a verbal warning to the operator.

1721: A resident called the station to report being a victim of identity theft. The officer filed a report.

1855: An officer stopped a motor vehicle (MV) on Shirley St. for a civil motor vehicle infraction (CMVI) and gave a verbal warning to the operator. When the officer determined that there was an issue with the MV’s registration, he followed the operator home so she could park it on private property. The operator said it was her fiance’s car and she was unaware of its registration status.

Tuesday, Oct. 27

0008: An officer stopped a motor vehicle (MV) on Pleasant St. for the civil motor vehicle infraction (CMVI) of texting while driving. The officer gave a verbal warning to the operator.

0055: An officer stopped a motor vehicle (MV) on Main St. for the civil motor vehicle infraction (CMVI) of speeding. The officer gave a verbal warning to the operator.

0105: An officer stopped a motor vehicle (MV) at Shirley St. and Neptune Ave. for the civil motor vehicle infraction (CMVI) of a stop sign violation. The officer gave a verbal warning to the operator.

1157: A person who was dog-sitting called the station to report that the dog had gotten out of the house. 

1406: A resident came to the station to report that someone had used her name to open a fraudulent unemployment claim.

1858: An officer issued a warning to a MV that was parked too closely to the corner on Ocean View Way.

2053: A resident came to the station to report that someone had used her name to open a fraudulent unemployment claim.

2250: An officer directed three persons in a MV at the Short Beach parking lot to disperse.

2306: An officer stopped a motor vehicle (MV) at Pleasant St. and Court Rd. for the civil motor vehicle infraction (CMVI) of a marked lanes violation. The officer gave a verbal warning to the operator.

Wednesday, Oct. 28

0021: An officer stopped a motor vehicle (MV) on Main St. for the civil motor vehicle infraction (CMVI) of a stop sign violation. The officer gave a verbal warning to the operator.

0944: An officer stopped a motor vehicle (MV) at Marshall St. for the civil motor vehicle infraction (CMVI) of a one-way violation. The officer gave a verbal warning to the operator.

1228: A resident came to the station to report that someone had used her name to open a fraudulent unemployment claim.

1557: A resident came to the station to report that someone had used her name to open a fraudulent unemployment claim.

Thursday, Oct. 29

0653: Two persons at a convenience store reported being assaulted by a third person when he was directed to put on a face mask. The victims provided the make and plate of the suspect’s MV. An officer located the MV on Revere St. and gave a mask to the operator. The officer will review the store video to determine whether further action is warranted.

1132: A resident reported that his wife’s Social Security number may be compromised. 

1513: A resident came to the station to report a case of identity theft.

1543: A Moore St. resident reported that she lost her cat some time during the previous evening.

2013: A resident came into the station to report a fraudulent transaction to his credit card.

2204: Officer responded to a two-car motor vehicle accident in Metcalf Square. Airbags were deployed and one MV was towed.

Friday, Oct. 30

0929: A resident came to the station to report that someone had used his name to open a fraudulent unemployment claim. 

1115: Officers assisted at a small house fire at 80 Shirley St. The fire had started in a fireplace and was quickly extinguished by the Fire Dept. The residents were allowed to go back into their home.

1525: A resident reported being defrauded of $800 for the purchase of a dog. The victim had paid by using Zelle to transfer the funds from her bank account.

1548: A Pleasant St. resident reported that a MV had driven up on her front lawn. The officer assisted the parties with the exchange of papers. When the officer determined that the license of the MV operator was suspended, the officer ordered the MV to be towed and issued a citation to the operator for appropriate criminal and civil offenses.

Saturday, Oct. 31

0043: An officer on a directed patrol issued numerous parking tickets for vehicles in the Highlands section of town.

0111: An officer stopped a motor vehicle (MV) at Main and Wilshire Sts. for the civil motor vehicle infractions (CMVI) of a headlight violation and a red light violation. The officer filed a report.

1025: A Highland Ave. resident reported an attempted breaking and entering (B&E).

1222: An officer stopped a motor vehicle (MV) at Revere and Central Sts. The operator did not have a valid license, but showed the officer that he has an appointment at the RMV to reinstate the license.

1502: A female party came to the station to report that she had been the victim of an assault. The victim was transported to the MGH and officers went to the residence to arrest the suspect.

1519: Officers assisted at a Trident Ave. residence while the Fire Dept. extinguished a small fire that had begun when the homeowner’s Tiki torch fell over.

1909: Officers responded to a call from a person on Hermon St. who stated that four parties, two males and two females, were engaged in a fight. The officers located the parties and issued summonses to the parties for a court hearing regarding the alleged criminal offenses.

1938: An officer stopped a motor vehicle (MV) on Crest Ave. for the civil motor vehicle infraction (CMVI) of a red light violation. When the officer determined that the MV was uninsured, the officer ordered the MV to be towed and issued a citation to the operator for the appropriate criminal and civil offenses.

2012: An officer dispersed a group of loud youths from the end of Cottage Park Rd.

2201: An officer dispersed a group of youths from Shore Drive.

2234: An officer dispersed a group of youths from the area of Larsen Rink.

2235: An officer dispersed a group of youths from the area of the gazebo at Ingleside Park.

2245: An officer reported that the doors at the high school had been egged. The school custodial staff was notified.

2253: Officers responded to a disturbance between a tenant and landlord in which the tenant reported that the landlord had shut off the electricity. An officer spoke to the landlord and the electricity was restored.

2310: An officer stopped a motor vehicle (MV) in Metcalf Sq. for the civil motor vehicle infraction (CMVI) of a stop sign violation. The officer gave a verbal warning to the operator.

2314: An officer directed the operator of a MV at the cemetery on Kennedy Rd. to leave the area.

Sunday, Nov. 1

0004: An officer responded to a report of loud music coming from a boat at the Pleasant Park Yacht Club. However, there was no one on the boat and the officer was unable to gain access to the cabin to turn off the music.

0030: An officer directed a person playing music loudly at Governor’s Park to turn it down.

0049: An officer stood by with the owner of a disabled MV on Willow Ave. until AAA came by.

0141: The officer continued to stand by with the vehicle owner from the previous call because AAA had sent the wrong tow truck.

1152: An officer assisted while the Fire Dept. helped a Locust St. resident get into her house after she had locked herself out.

2244: An officer dispersed a MV from the parking lot at Short Beach.
