Tribute to Those We Lost

Despite the Fourth of July festivities on Thursday, Point Shirley residents paused to remember two special Winthrop residents who passed away – Joe Quigley Sr. and Police Detective Michael Delehanty. Their absence since last year’s festivities was deeply felt and marked by a somber but heartfelt gesture from Joey Quigley Jr. and his daughter Joelle Quigley. Two wreaths were set afloat in the harbor by family friend Brian Murphy (seen above) while family, friends, and colleagues looked on.
