Student Highlight: Junior Dedicates Time to Drama Society and Volunteer Work

Since Annalise Love entered Winthrop High School her freshman year, she became an active member of the drama society. Starting out as a member of the production team, she took on more responsibility as she gained experience and soon became an Assistant Stage Manager and a member of the Drama Society’s Executive Board.

What do you love about being a part of the Drama Society?

“I love this job because it allows me to work with the actors and be a part of the crew. I am so thankful for this role and I can’t wait to see what other opportunities it brings.”

What other activities have you been involved in?

I played lacrosse last year for Winthrop High School and hope to play again this spring. I am also a part of Dinner Theatre this year. I volunteer for outside shows that are performed at the Neil Shapiro Center for the Performing Arts. I also volunteer at The Well Coffee house, which my parents operate in South Station. I love volunteering there because I get to meet so many interesting people and it’s an amazing opportunity to be able to be a blessing to others.

What is your favorite subject?

My favorite subject is psychology because it teaches us so much about how our minds work, which allows us to understand ourselves and each other better.

Do you have a role model?

My role models are my parents. Their humility, courage, and enthusiasm inspire me to work for my goals and push through adversity.
