Ralph Capobianco
Mass State retiree and avid fan of Boston Braves
Ralph Capobianco of Winthrop, formerly of East Boston, passed away surrounded by his loving family on Nov. 5 at the age of 101.
Ralph was a U.S. Coast Guard veteran of World War II, an employee of the Commonwealth of Massachusetts and an avid Boston Braves fan.
Ralph was born in Boston on Dec. 4, 1916, to Antonio and Angelina (DeAngelis) Capobianco. He was the beloved husband of the late Raffaela (Giarla) Capobianco; devoted father of Anthony Capobianco of Winthrop, Angeline Cortes and Margaret Capobianco, both of Newton and James Capobianco and Gino Capobianco, both of Winthrop. He was predeceased by seven siblings and was the cherished grandfather of Anthony Capobianco, Andrew Capobianco, Ricardo Cortes, Cristina Cortes, Gabriel Sholder, Rafael Sholder and Tino Capobianco, adored great-grandfather of Antonia and Rocco and is also survived by many loving nieces and nephews.
Family and friends will honor Ralph’s life by gathering at the Ruggiero Family Memorial Home 971 Saratoga St., East Boston, on Friday, Nov. 9, at 9 a.m. A Funeral Service in celebration of Ralph’s life will take place on Friday at 11 a.m. in the Serenity Chapel of the Memorial Home followed by a funeral procession to Woodlawn Cemetery where Ralph will be laid to rest beside his beloved Raffaela. Christine Rose Mastropoll
Former Winthrop resident
Christine Rose Mastropoll, formerly of Winthrop, passed away suddenly at the Brockton Hospital on Oct. 17 from natural causes. She was 59 years old.
The daughter of Marise Mastropoll and the late Anthony Mastropoll, Sr., both of Winthrop, she is survived by her son, Christopher Mullen of Revere and Haley Mastropoll of the Boston area; grandchildren, Christopher Mullen Jr. and Brianna Mullen; brothers, Anthony Mastropoll Jr. of Winthrop, Michael Mastropoll and his wife, Normalea of Azle, Texas, Daniel Mastropoll and his wife, Denise of North Attleboro and Nicholas Mastropoll and his wife, Cynthia of Winthrop. She is also survived by many nieces, nephews and cousins.
