Winthrop Farmers Opening this Sunday

The Winthrop Farmers Market opens the 2018 season this Sunday, June 17, from 10 a.m.-1 p.m. in French Square. The 10 a.m. start time is new this year in direct response to requests from customers and vendors.

Customers will recognize many returning vendors including town favorites like Oakdale Farms, C&M Farms, Patty’s Guacamole and Ackermann Maple. Market Manager, Donna Sears, says “We feel very lucky to have built a loyal customer base in the past few years that come every market for their produce and specialty items. Our vendors too have learned repeat customers by name and look forward to the start of the season in Winthrop.”

The 2018 season will also showcase several new vendors including homemade dog treats, bakery goods, food and samples from Bridges Nepali Cuisine, and even nut milks. “We are always looking for some variety and new things, we are excited to have a nut milk truck join us later in the season and we will be promoting on our Facebook page about special fashion pop-ups and unique opportunities such as learning about composting at home.” adds Ms. Sears.

The full schedule for the 2018 season is June 17, July 1, July 15, July 29, Aug. 12, Aug. 26, Sept. 9, Sept. 23, Oct. 7 and Oct. 21.
