Retiring WPS Teachers Feted

The Winthrop Public Schools held their annual retirement party for local teachers at the Cottage Park Yacht Club on June 15.  Pictured above are Superintendent of Schools, John Macero, Frank DeMarco (Teacher 19 years), Mary Cali (Teacher 29 years), Dominic Passaro (Custodian 39 years), Janice Denehy (Teacher 30 years), Beth Arena (Teacher 24 years) and President of the Winthrop Teachers Association, Kristen Reynolds.  Missing from the photo are Barbara Amero (Adjustment Counselor, 11 years), Patricia Kelly, (Administrative Assistant 30 years), Mary Ann Matarazzo (E.S.P.  4 years), Joyce Souto (Teacher 16 years) and Frank Woods (Curriculum Director 3 years).  Congratulations to all of the retirees and thank you for your dedication to the students and
families of Winthrop.
