Ernestine ‘Ernie’ Davie

Of Florida, formerly of Revere

Ernestine “Ernie” D. Davie of Royal Palm Beach, Florida, formerly of Winthrop, passed away on December 12 at the age of 88.

She was the beloved wife of the late Charles Davie, loving mother of Julie Quinlan and her husband, Ed, Jim Davie and his wife, Marcia, John Davie and his wife, Cheryl; cherished sister of Angela “Chickie” Sylvester and loving niece Sanda (Sylverster) Donovan. She also leaves six grandchildren and eight great grandchildren.

A Memorial Mass will be held at St. John’s Church in Winthrop at noon on February 12.

Mildred Reitano

IRS retiree and Past Venerable of Ladies Lodge, Sons of Italy in Winthrop

Mildred Reitano of Walden Street, Winthrop passed away at home on January 12. She was 97 years old.

A resident of Winthrop since 1958, she worked as a timekeeper and photographer for the Internal Revenue Service for many years. She was also a past venerable for the Ladies Lodge Sons of Italy in Winthrop.

Born in East Boston, the beloved daughter of the late Marie (LaMonica) and Ralph Giorgio, she was the devoted wife of the late Robert J. Reitano and the loving mother of Anne Marie Coons of New York and Maureen Moro of Winthrop, the dear sister of the late Mario, Joseph, Anthony, Albert and Charles Giorgio and the cherished grandmother of Christopher, Stephanie, Michael, Annie and Joseph.

Her funeral was conducted from the Ernest P. Caggiano and Son-O’Maley-Frazier Funeral Home on Tuesday, January 17 at 9 a.m. followed by a Funeral Mass in St. John the Evangelist Church, 320 Winthrop St., Winthrop. The Rev.
