Monday, June 20

Parole Officer is looking for subject at the Alcohol & Drug Lodging Home. Last known address was Whidden Hospital. Information given to PO.

Caller on Lincoln Street needs medical aid. Transferred to EMS/WFD.

Party reports a lost wallet at Crest Avenue parking lot. If it is turned in, please contact him. The writing on the wallet says BMF and it is brown.

Female caller on Cliff Avenue states that there has been a dog barking all day long. ACO notified.

Party on Crest Avenue reports a suspicious male party behind the doctor’s office. Officers spoke to the subject and will complete an FI.

Caller on Walden Place reports that a tree has fallen on her property and needs assistance figuring out what to do. Officer responded to check out the situation regarding the tree. The party has been advised of what to do on his private property.

Party at the Arbors reports a man down and requests EMS. They are responding.

Report of a loud group on the beach at Bayview Avenue. Units report disbursing the group. They are coming in with one and that person was released to father.

Several calls of a woman yelling behind the water tower. Units report woman on the beach yelling on the phone.

 

Tuesday, June 21

Officer reports being flagged down by a resident on Plummer Avenue. He reports a dispute involving cutting of tree branches. The officer is requesting the code enforcement officer to respond. The situation resolved and all is clear.

Female on Cottage Avenue called crying and very upset. She was on her street and almost ran over a worker’s head when he popped up from a hole in the street. The hole was “Not” marked in any way. DPW contacted and stated there is “no” detail on the site. 91 sent to investigate safety complaint. 91 report work crews on three different streets up on the water tower hill. Several sites were then properly coned and barricaded. DPW requested a safety officer for detail.

Female at Executive Apartments screaming for help with child. WFD and 91 and detail officers report a male child got his arm stuck in the elevator. WFD will check him out. WFD also will check for defects in the door.

Party came into the station to report ongoing harassment related to call 16-438.

Party on Otis Street reports that his son is not feeling well and having trouble moving. EMS responded. W91 responded and reports an 18-year-old male transported.

Report of kids soliciting on Hermon Street. Lt. Scarpa responded and reports two youths sent out of the area.

Caller on Cliff Avenue repots that her brother is on the floor and requesting help. W91 responded and EMS/WFD notified.

Female on Elmwood Court reports a breaking and entering. 92 and 91 report the house cleared and checking with neighbors.

Caller on Shirley Street repots that her child is unresponsive. EMS and Off. Hysa are responding. Officer reports 30-year-old female is responsive now and being tended to by EMS.

Party on Winthrop Street reports a red Corvette parked in the same location for several days. Status comes back revoked for a bad check. G&J responding to tow.

Caller on Governors Park requests a person check. Officer responds and requests EMS. Party transported to Whidden.

Party at Cumberland Farms states medical aid needed on scene for an individual. Fire notified. 92 responds and request an inquiry of subject. A CJIS inquiry reveals a warrant. Subject placed into custody and transported to the station via the 92. Report submitted.

Wednesday, June 22

Caller reports someone playing basketball at the court. Units reports moving subject out of the area.

Party at Governors Park request an ambulance for heart palpitations. Fire and ambulance notified and will respond.

Caller on Banks Street states breaking and entering of vehicle while parked over night. 92 responds and reports the vehicle was left unlocked. A report submitted.

Party called to report that she parked her car momentarily in front of her house on Tileston Road and she received a parking ticket for street sweeping. Her concern was that she states there is usually a siren to alert her and others if they should forget to move the car quick enough. She will appeal.

Caller on Wilshire Street reports that her motor vehicle was broken into sometime overnight after parking it. There are items missing which include a HP placard. The caller will obtain the number of the placard and return from work at lunch to call us to take a report.

Lieutenant called to report that he was approached by a motorist stating that multiple vehicles are parking illegally along Tafts Avenue. 92 is responding to the area. Officer had several cars move.

Safety Officer reports a green and white dirt bike is racing around Sunnyside and Pico Avenue. It took off when the operator saw the officer. W92 checked the area to no avail.

Officer off on an investigation/follow-up on Putnam Street. He reports speaking to the subject.

Officer is off on an investigation/follow-up on Brewster Avenue. He reports speaking to someone who will pass on his message.

Received drug tip for Short Beach area/Argyle Street.

Officer is off on an investigation/follow-up on Siren Street. He reports giving information to a family member.

Safety Officer, while working a detail on Shirley Street, radioed in that he was with a motorist who appeared to be under the influence of alcohol. 91 and 92 responded. 92 is returning to the station with one in cust5ody for OUI. Vehicle is being towed by G&J Towing. NOTE: Subject was very loud, aggressive and uncooperative during the booking. He was given several opportunities to behave and complete the booking, but refused and did not act reasonable. He was placed in a cell when he got combative.

Party at St. John’s Church called to report that someone struck his vehicle. Officer reports that he needs medical for an evaluation. Both parties will exchange papers.

Daughter called to report that her mother on Golden Drive is having stomach pains and needs an ambulance. EMS notified.

Protective Services supervisor called to request a well-being check on an elderly resident on Veterans Road. Officer reports speaking to the person of interest and she is okay. Protective Services notified.

Manager of Woodside Hardware approached detective and gave him a bag with a brown powdery substance he found in the store. Detective stored the item.

Comcast supervisor called to report that one of their workers struck his head on Court Road and is being taken to the hospital. We were called to inform us that one of their work trucks is parked in front of a home at that address.

Resident complained of boats. A 20 footer and a 30 footer parked in front of his house on Willis Avenue. They are from the boat yard down the street. The boaters were advised that they had five minutes to move them or a code violation will be issued for each boat.

WFD requests an officer respond to Winthrop Street for an assist.

Party at Jefferson and Winthrop Street reports a 20-year-old male is shooting balls off the side of the building every evening. Officer reports area is clear. The party called back and stated the kid finally left the area after someone talked to him. Peace was restored.

Party on Locust Street request medical for abdominal pain. Transferred to WFD and they will handle.

Mother on Golden Drive wants her son out of the house. Units request an ambulance to the scene. Fire and EMS notified. Units report subject cleared medically and will leave and stay with the grandmother in East Boston for the night.

Thursday, June 23

Female at Shirley Hardware is requesting an ambulance. Fire and EMS notified and will respond.

Caller on Winthrop Street states that his vehicle was hit and the offender has left the scene. 94 responds and reports owner will notify insurance and file an incident report.

A woman called to report that a vehicle is parked every morning for the past week on Crest Avenue with two individuals sleeping inside. 92 is responding to the area to investigate.

Woman reports a male lying on the ground between the American Legion building and the town hall.

W94 and W92 responded and reports being familiar with the male. 94 reports that the male is waiting for the town hall to open. He goes there when his family is not home for a few hours. The party will wait on the bench and officer will check with the library.

Owner of Brassard Marine on Pleasant Court called to report that a friend just called him of someone climbing the fence to get into the boat yard. Officers report no one was climbing the fence; the people that were there was a boat owner of a boat that he said had damage to the protective wrap. The caller said nothing was done to the boat and a meeting has been set up for Saturday with the boat owner, the property owner and boat yard owner.

Sister calling from out of town asking for a check on her brother at Governors Park. All units on previous call. Fire notified and reports that EMS cleared the party and he was advised to contact his sister. DPW called to report that worker is injured at Hillside and Prospect Avenue and needs medical. Medical notified and the worker was sent to MGH.

Male caller at Russell and Edward Street reports that someone just kicked a dog and the dog jumped in to a mail truck. Officer and ACO report giving the dog owner a civil citation and the dog is okay, did not get kicked. ACO will monitor the situation.

Caller at Dalrymple School requests medical for her husband. Transferred to EMS.

Party on Buchanan Street reports someone in a pickup truck was taking pictures of her house. Officer reports speaking with the caller and all are okay.

Report of a small kitten in the alleyway on Nevada Street and caller thinks it may be lost. ACO notified.

Handicapped plate vehicle from Nevada was parked for three months on Ocean Avenue. Plate is active through August and the HP placard is good until February 2024. Party lives on Ocean Avenue. 91 will check with female owner and allow the vehicle, but must obtain a valid Winthrop visitor placard.

Five kids being noisy on Shirley Street.

Four carloads of kids from outside complex at tennis courts at Governors Park. K9, 94 and 91 report all involved are residents inside the complex and they will leave and return to their units.

Caller reports kids playing on the courts on Walden Street. Units reports moving kids out of the area.

Report of a large gathering in the back yard on Forrest Street. Subjects are being loud. Units report subjects sent inside for the night.

Friday, June 24

Caller reports a group at Hannaford Park. Units report subjects left prior to their arrival.

Daughter reports unable to make contact with her mother on Taylor Street. Units returned with fire to force entry but mother did awake and will contact her daughter.

Repossession of a motor vehicle on Wave Way Avenue.

Manager at Cumberland Farms called and asked for a unit to respond to the gas pumps for a minor vehicle accident. 92 responded and stated it was very minor and the drivers had worked it out before his arrival.

Manager from 7-11 called to report that an individual continues to come in and help himself to coffee and walk out. The manager from Cumberland Farms then called and said there is an individual that will not leave the store. 92 and 94 responded to the area and report speaking to the individual at Governors Drive bus stop. The individual was trespassed from both stores and stated that he understood the consequences if he returned.

Daughter from New York called to ask if we could check on her mother on Tafts Avenue. Off. Carter reports while trying to find the mother, a neighbor asked is there was a problem. When told, the neighbor stated that her car was there last night and it is gone now. Daughter was called back and told that her mom was home but left this morning. The daughter called us back later and said that her mother just called.

Caller on Grovers Avenue reports that someone broke into his house and he does not know if they are still there. Caller hung up before we could get information. Revere PD will send a fingerprint detective to assist.

Male caller on Main Street reports a large boat being towed and the people involved are lifting wires. Officer reports boat is going just under the wires and they are going very slow.

Party reports silver colored Impala has been circling the Nahant Avenue area stopping and then coming around the block. Officer stopped the subject in the area of Shore and Trident Avenue and reports the subject is not from Winthrop and he was just waiting for someone.

Officer reports stopping subject at Washington and River Road who had a default warrant issued for his arrest by Somerville District court. Subject was placed into custody and transported to the station for booking. Vehicle was towed upon his arrest.

Mother on Bowdoin Street called stating that her daughter is mentally ill and throwing things around the house. W91 and W94 report a 27-year-old female transported to the MGH.

Caller states that someone in the group home on Winthrop Street is throwing things around the house. W91 and W94 report a 23-year-old female transported to MGH.

Party reports loud music of a party in the area of Crest Avenue. Officers spoke with the resident there who will take it inside form the yard area.

Calling party on Wadsworth Avenue stated that two male parties rang his doorbell and asked him if he wanted his driveway sealed. He would need to pay them cash up front. He knew immediately that it was a scam and called us. The two men drove away in a newer red Dodge pickup truck with Texas plates. 92 and 94 searched the area to no avail. Units will continue to watch for it.

Report of a man lying on the sidewalk on Crescent Street.

Manager on Revere Street called stating a homeless man they gave a trespass to for attempting to steal yesterday is sitting on the sidewalk. Units report the party had already left the area.

Caller states that a male has been sitting under a tree since this morning on Crest Avenue. Said he is not bothering anyone or doing anything, but is afraid he needs medical attention. Officer reports it is actually a female and she was reading a book.

Party reports a vehicle is on Crest Avenue heading to Shore Drive and stated that the driver is clearly drunk. Units advised to BOLO. Officer report the vehicle is in a driveway of homeowners home and no one is in the vehicle and no answer at the door.

Saturday, June 25

Caller on Golden Drive reports subject is on the property and bothering them. Officer reports finding subject on Revere Street and he was advised to stay away from the Housing property.

Caller on Sunnyside Avenue stated that the person next door banged on their door and asked them to call 911. Said the 50-year-old male that lives there is not breathing. Caller has no idea what is wrong. Transferred to EMS and a transport to Whidden on a medical.

Sunday, June 26

Party reports that the dog at the house next door to Caggiano’s has been barking all night. Stated that this is not normal. Units report not being able to raise anyone at the home but all appears to be okay at this time.

Caller on Nahant Avenue called to report that there is a loud radio blaring music.

Caller reports two parties at Pond Street playground committing “rude acts” Officer reports speaking with two parties and having them leave the area.

Open 911 call from Shore Drive. Party could be heard groaning. Another party was then heard calling 911 on another phone. Advised medical and is already on the way.

Fire reports party stuck between the docks at Cottage Park YC. Party was freed and transported to MGH via EMS.

Female called to report that her friend may be in danger here somewhere in Winthrop. She received some text messages from her asking her to contact the police. No address was given however. Facebook account was located. Both Chelsea PD and Lynn PD were contacted and neither have a record of the child or father in their system. Friend was advised that if she gets an address to contact us immediately.

Party at Atlantis Marina condos reports that his father is having chest discomfort. Call transferred to WFD and EMS for service.

Male party on Quincy Avenue called out of breath and stated that he is having difficulty breathing and is requesting EMS. WFD and EMS notified. He was calling from a basement apartment on the left side of the home.

Party on Enfield Road reports a female was walking aimlessly around the park in the area of the gazebo. It appears she may need some assistance. Officers located the female subject and are requesting EMS for an evaluation of the subject. She will be transported to MGH for further evaluation. We were unable to get a positive ID on the female subject.

Caller on Edward Street claims that his neighbor threatened his children. Officers spoke with all involved parties and will be seeking a hearing at East Boston District Court.

Party on Cliff Avenue reports that her daughter’s 17-year-old boyfriend refuses to leave her property. Officers spoke with the young man who is leaving and was informed not to return.

Caller on Pleasant Stet reports an ongoing harassment by her ex-husband. She wanted this logged for tonight and will be in tomorrow to file a victim/witness statement.
