Rose Cadden
Of Winthrop, formerly of East Boston
Rose Cadden of Enfield Road, Winthrop passed away at home on April 27 surrounded by her loving family. She was 81 years old.
Born in Boston, she was the beloved daughter of the late Josephine (Tarrantino) and Antonio Mazzio. A longtime resident of East Boston, she has resided in Winthrop since 1999.
She was the devoted wife of the late James Cadden and the loving mother of Diane Nalen and her husband, Steven of Winthrop and Jane Farrow and her companion, Daniel Brody of Winthrop; the sister of Dominic Mazzio of Peabody and the late Mary Palano, Joseph Mazzio, Michael Mazzio, Vincent Mazzio and Anthony Mazzio; cherished grandmother of Steven Nalen and Cameron Farrow and is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
The funeral was conducted from the Ernest P. Caggiano and Son-O’Maley Funeral Home on May 3, 2016 followed by a funeral mass in St. John the Evangelist Church. Retired Baker
Louis J. Sbrizza, Sr. of Rochester, NH,, formerly of Winthrop, passed away at home on May 10. He was 86 years old.
Louis was a U.S. Army Veteran, serving during the Korean War. Prior to his retirement, he was employed as Baker with the Muffin Towne Muffin Co, in Winthrop.
He was the beloved husband of Paulette J. (Nadeau) Sbrizza and the late Janice M. (McCormick) Sbrizza. Born in Revere, the son of the late John and Mary (Trichari) Sbrizza, he was the devoted father of Gail Turner of Manchester, NH, Louis J. Sbrizza Jr. of Rochester, NH, Russell Sbrizza of Dover, NH, and Paulette’s son, Peter Jacobs of Rochester, NH and Idaho, and the late John Sbrizza, Janet Sbrizza and Joan Sbrizza; adored grandfather of Jerry Turner, Louis Sbrizza, III, Patrick Sbrizza, Valerie Sbrizza, Joseph Sbrizza, Leann Sbrizza, Christopher Lawlor, Ashley Venturini, Kristen Sbrizza, Julie Buckley and the late Ryan Turner and dear brother of Frank Sbrizza of Revere, John Sbrizza of Billerica and Rita Hess of Boynton Beach, FL. He is also survived by several great grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral arrangements were by the Maurice W. Kirby Funeral Home, Winthrop. A Funeral Mass was held in St. John the Evangelist Church-Winthrop. Burial followed in Winthrop Cemetery (Belle Isle Section). Judith A. (Jordan) Sarro of East Boston died peacefully on May 14.
She was the beloved wife of the late Joseph; devoted mother of Joseph R. of Boston, Gerald and his wife, Margaret of Plympton, MA, James C. and his wife, Dina of Winthrop, Judith A. Sarro and her husband, Luis Sanchez of Lynn, Timothy E. and Scott M., both of East Boston, and the late Gregory M. She is also survived by 11 loving grandchilden and six cherished great grandchildren as well as by many loving nieces and nephews.
Funeral arrangements were entrusted to the Ruggiero Family Memorial,  (Orient Heights) East Boston.  Cremation service private. In lieu of flowers, in honoring Judith,  memorial donations may be made to Animal Rescue league of Boston, 10 Chandler St., Boston 02116.
