WHS Boys Basketball has helped to raise awareness in support of local philanthropies. On January 15th the town of Winthrop and Boys’ Basketball raised $253 in support of ALS, a disease affecting millions of Americans.
On Monday, Feb. 22nd, Boys Basketball again will partner with a well-known philanthropy, the American Diabetes Association. Diabetes affects over 29 million Americans, including 208,000 youth under 20. Help to raise awareness and support to this worthwhile cause. Meet one of the Associations youth ambassadors and participate in a special halftime fundraiser. Your support makes a difference!
Monday is also Youth Night, all youth participating in a Winthrop Youth sports program get into the game FREE—special giveaways while they last.
Program begins at 6:30 pm with a celebration of Boys Basketball Senior Night. National Anthem will be sung by Meg Dolan, WHS Senior. Watch the Vikings in their last home game against Innovation Academy with a 7:00 pm tipoff. In addition, Senior Cheerleaders will also be recognized. The Lady Vikings celebrate their Seniors just before their 5:00 game
