Licensing Commission Approves Outdoor Seating

The Winthrop Licensing Commission has approved outdoor seating at La Siesta restaurant on Woodside Avenue.

The commission met earlier this month and gave permission to La Siesta to move some of its indoor seating outdoors when desired. The Mexican restaurant was give permission to move up to 15 seats outdoors.

In other business:

The commission approved the transfer of a liquor license from Fab’s Liquors to Riley N.K. Inc., Kevin Leng at 29 Crest Ave.

The Cottage Park Yacht Club was given permission to extend its deck seating area by four feet.

Winthrop Hospitality, formerly Suburban Extended Stay on Shirley Street, was granted a lodging house license.

A change in hours was granted to Thompson’s Liquors/By the Sea Liquors on Washington Avenue. It now opens at 10 a.m.

Brown Bag (BYOB) licenses were given to Millie’s, 561 Shirley St.; DeParma, 467 Shirley St.; Café Rossetti’s, 115 Winthrop Shore Drive; and Alia’s, 495 Shirley St.

Licenses were granted to Winthrop Arms, 130 Grover’s Ave.

Viking Pride was granted a one-day liquor license for a casino night on June 27.

Brian Guthrie, a driver for Winthrop Taxi, was granted a license.
