Applications are now available for the Winthrop Chamber of Commerce and Helen D’Alelio Family Foundation/Dunkin Donuts at the Bridge High School Scholarships.
A $500 scholarship award will be given to the three top essay responses to the following question:
“If you were an entrepreneur living in Winthrop, what business would you like to develop in Winthrop and why?â€
Requirements:
In addition to writing the best essay(s), candidates must be graduating high school this year, living in Winthrop, and in good standing at their particular high school. Essays should be between 250 and 450 words, typed double-spaced. The deadline for submissions is May 1, 2015. A complete explanation of the criteria as well as the application is available at www.winthropchamber.com
All essays are to be submitted in duplicate. Each copy should be in individual sealed
envelopes. One envelope should contain only the essay with no identifying (student name). The other envelope should contain the essay with the application, and supporting documentation. This insures that the writer’s names will not be disclosed to the committee members until after the decision process. All submissions to be delivered directly:

Awardee will be contacted by the Winthrop Chamber to have photo taken for a Press Release and will be asked to read their essay during our 6/9/15 breakfast meeting. Good luck candidates!
