The Town Council moved a step closer to approving the project being planned for 60 Hermon St., which is the former home of the Winthrop Playmakers. The Planning Board had voted by a 7-0 margin in favor of the project and the Council took its vote Tuesday night with the clear majority of the Council voting in favor of it. There seems to be a question whether the affirmative votes must be two-thirds or three-quarters of the Council to approve the project. As soon as the question is answered, we expect to see the Ocean City Development’s project to be approved — and that’s good news for the town and the aesthetic look of the neighborhood that will soon have a new and beautiful development rising on Hermon Street.
