WIHA Plans Free Program: Chocolate 101

A wise man once said, “Nine out of ten people like chocolate…the tenth person always lies!”

Help put this theory to the test as Winthrop Improvement and Historical Association (WIHA) presents, “Chocolate 101” a family-friendly free program on Saturday, April 11 at 2 pm in the Deane Winthrop Barn, 40 Shirley Street. Noted actress and lecturer, Judith Kalaora from History At Play will answer all your questions about chocolate and provide several types of chocolate for sampling.

Learn about how chocolate is made and other fun facts such as what your chocolate preference says about your personality.  Samples will range from white chocolate to 99% cacao. A delicious program is promised for all that attend.

Space in the Deane Winthrop Barn is limited.  Please call Barbara at (617) 817-5119 to reserve your seats.  Fun for all ages is assured. Minors must be accompanied by an adult.

This program is supported in part by a grant from the Winthrop Cultural Council, a local agency which is supported by the Massachusetts Cultural Council, a state agency.

“Chocolate 101” is part of an on-going educational series presented by WIHA to help keep history and the arts vital and vibrant in Winthrop.
