An Interesting Idea From Councilor Mael

Precinct 4 Councilor Craig Mael’s idea — as described in his letter to the editor this week — to have A “Winthrop Studies Day” deserves consideration by Supt. of Schools John Macero and the Winthrop School Committee. Mael reasons that students should learn about the town’s historical sites and our town’s history.

As he often does, Craig Mael is thinking outside the box in a good way — and this idea merits a public discussion by the School Committee and a vote on the proposal.
