Halloween Celebration in Winthrop Center

When Tom Hankard, branch manager at Webster First Federal Union, told us that more than 1,300 children and parents attended last year’s Halloween Haunt in Winthrop Center, our reaction was,”Wow, that is one very popular event.”

Hankard invites children and families to take part in the 15th annual Halloween Haunt this Friday, October 31, beginning at 4 p.m. at the Credit Union where everyone will receive an official Halloween bag for trick-or-treating.

We commend Webster Federal Credit Union for continuing this outstanding Halloween tradition in our town and all the Winthrop businesses who make it a fun event for our children.

And we hope the participants will head over to Miller Field after the Halloween celebration to cheer on our undefeated Northeastern Conference champion football team as it begins its quest for a state championship with a playoff game beginning at 7:30 p.m.
