Winthrop Beach Renourishment and Sand Installation Begins

Town Council President Peter Gill was on hand as the first trucks unloaded the sand that will help renourish Winthrop Beach and provide much-needed shoreline protection and mitigation of flood conditions during severe weather. There will be many trucks carrying sand for the beach over the next year or so, but in the end Winthrop, residents will see the tremendous improvements and the return of a beautiful beach that will be there for people to enjoy for years to come.
