Runway Safety Area Improved

Flavio Leo, deputy director of aviation planning and strategy at Massport, gave a presentation at the Town Council meeting,
explaining that Massport is improving the Runway Safety Area (RSA) at Runway 15L and 33R at Logan Airport. He noted the
project would not extend the runway or have any effect on normal runway operations, runway capacity, or types of aircraft
that can use this runway. Construction will start in the middle of June and last approximately 40 days, with the bulk of construction
Monday through Friday from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m.
