Town Manager James McKenna said at the Town Council meeting that he wants to bring Winthrop into the 21st century with the digitizing of all town records.
We believe that McKenna is once again right on the mark with this project that would modernize Winthrop’s important job of record-keeping for our residents.
Town Clerk Carla Vitale and her staff have a vital responsibility of maintaining Winthrop’s official records. If that process can be made more convenient for our residents – as well as the townwide process of record-keeping and correspondences – we are all for it. We urge that the Town Council heed McKenna’s recommendation and bring the town up-to-date technologically.
