Town Councilor Linda Calla provided an update on the Temple Tifereth Israel project and it’s full steam ahead for brand new residences and a newly-refurbished temple for the congregation. Calla attended a meeting at the temple on Monday and brought the good news back to the Council Tuesday night, saying demolition work will begin next week and construction will start on the project that will be completed by the late fall of 2014.
Calla always has been an effective voice for her constituents in Precinct 6 and her coordinative and supportive efforts with Temple President Sandra Pellegrino and the members showed that the councilor understands that this project is a step forward toward beautifying the property on Veterans Road. The new residences will be a great and a welcome addition to that part of our town.
