St. John’s is industriously preparing for a Yard and Jewelry Fair, with the aim of raising funds to defray Winthrop Food Pantry operating costs, including electricity and phone, plus a freezer and air conditioners to properly and safely preserve food perishables.
On Friday September 20 from 5 to 9pm, and Saturday 21 from 10am to 3pm, Food Pantry volunteers will be welcoming shoppers and browsers at St John the Episcopal Hall, 222 Bowdoin Street, Winthrop.
Shoppers will select from twenty-three selling tables, where they’ll encounter an impressive range of items, from bric-a-brac to clothing, plus an extravagant jewelry array of antique, vintage and new, traditional or designer originals.
In addition to a wide assortment of shopables, St John’s will also be offering a sumptuous spaghetti dinner on Friday evening 6-8pm, for $6 per plate. On Saturday, lunch fare of grilled ham-n-cheese sandwiches and hot dogs, fresh prepared on request, may be purchased between 11am-2pm.  Shoppers will enjoy dining and conversing at comfortable indoor seating.
Winthrop Food Pantry accepts non-perishable food donations only at designated times, and no food donations will be accepted at this event.
