The Right Approach: Finding a New Ferry Service is a Smart Idea

Town Manager James McKenna has offered a fiscally sound and smart approach to the new ferry service operations that will commence next week. Knowing that there would be no federal and state subsidy for the ferry service this year, but understanding that residents wanted to see it continue in some form, McKenna has brought a private business to continue the service with a smaller vessel.

This is another example of our town manager correctly gauging the interest of the town in a particular service or issue and finding the best possible solution to it.

Thanks to McKenna’s leadership, the option of using the ferry service will be available to all and he will then evaluate the service’s popularity and number of passengers and make a decision about its future.
