Richard Rossetti

Automobile Salesman

Richard J. Rossetti of Taunton, formerly of Winthrop, died on April 26.

An automobile salesman, he was the loving father of Sophia Maria Rossetti of Brockton; cherished son of Ralph and his wife, Jean (Perkins) Rossetti of S. Easton and the late Margaret (Gardner) Rossetti; fiance of Rene Paradiso of Taunton; dear brother of Kari-Anne Ribelro and her husband, David of East Taunton, Philip Rossetti and his wife, Kerith of Billerica and Erik of Allston; fond uncle of Olivia Ribeiro.

His Funeral will be held from Vazza’s “Beechwood” Funeral Home, 262 Beach St., Revere on Friday at 9 a.m. followed by services in Vazza’s Chapel of the Resurrection at 11:30 a.m. Family and friends may visit Friday from 9 to 11:30 a.m. Burial will be in Winthrop Cemetery.

Richard Gravallese

Retired Administrator for Blue Cross/Blue Shield and Garber Travel

Richard A. Gravallese, a lifelong resident of East Boston, died after a long and valiant battle with pulmonary disease at the Eastpointe Nursing & Rehabilitation Center of Chelsea on April 26. He was 65 years old.

Born, raised and a lifelong resident of East Boston, he was a 1965 graduate of East Boston High School.

His working career was spent as an administrator at Blue Cross-Blue Shield of Boston and later at Garber Travel. He was forced to assume early retirement due to a long standing battle with pulmonary disease and for the past three years he was a resident at the Eastpointe Nursing & Rehabilitation Center.

He was the beloved son of the late John M. and Camille (Casella) Gravallese; the loving husband of the late Paula (Palazzolo) and the devoted father of: Alycia T. Gravallese of East Boston; dear brother of John F. Gravallese of Wakefield and Mary Stefano and her husband, Frederick of Winthrop. He is also survived by: Stephanie Raftery and her husband, Richard and their children, Stephen and Ryan Raftery, all of Middleton; the faithful uncle of John Gravallese and his wife, Deborah of North Reading, Steve Gravallese and his wife, Cheryl of Middleton, Lisa Stefano of Winthrop and Jennifer Becker and her husband, Brian of Pelham, New Hampshire. He is also survived by his grandnieces and grandnephews: Christopher, Jonathan, Karah, Robert, Matthew, Andrew and Aiden.

Family and friends are invited to attend visiting hours on Friday, May 3 in the Vertuccio & Smith Home for Funerals, 773 Broadway (Route 107) Revere beginning at 9 a.m. His Funeral Service will follow the visitation at 11 a.m. in the Funeral Home. Burial will be private. In lieu of flowers, remembrances may be made to the Patients’ Recreation Fund at Eastpointe Nursing & Rehab. Center, 255 Central Avenue, Chelsea, MA 02150.
