Big Night for Chamber: Annual Kick-off and Awards Nights is Feb. 1

The Winthrop Chamber of Commerce is getting ready for its 22nd Annual Kickoff Dinner and Awards Night that will be held Feb. 1 at the Hyatt Harborside at Logan Airport. As always, there will be a tremendous turnout of Winthrop residents and it will be a truly enjoyable evening as the Chamber salutes those businesses and individual who have excelled in their field and contributed greatly to our community.

The Chamber awards that are bestowed on the honorees have become prestigious and meaningful to the recipients. The warm applause and often standing ovations that greet each honoree as he or she walks to the podium represents a magical moment. And the heartfelt acceptance speeches provide some of the most engaging memories of the this fine gala.

It’s been another great year for Executive Director Eric Gaynor, outgoing president Bernice MacIntyre, and the entire Chamber board, and if you want to be a part of true Winthrop event, we suggest you be there for all the festivities. And we congratulate Dr. Paul McGee on his elevation to the presidency of the Winthrop Chamber, one of the most successful and vibrant chambers in this state, as noted by the Boston Business Journal in its annual rankings.
