There will be a service at 11:00 a.m .in front of the Winthrop Town Hall on Sunday, November 11. Take a half an hour, bring your children and pay tribute to those men and women, past and present who have defended this country.
The Opening Greeting will be delivered by Larry Holmes, USMC followed by the Invocation by Reverend Mr. James Leo of St John the Evangelist Church. The Pledge of Allegiance will be led by David Kennedy, USCG, Ret., Ella, Nora, Lilla McCarey, and Hunter & Hayes Kennedy.
The National Anthem will be sung by Sgt. Bill Furey, USMC.
The Honorable Robert A. DeLeo and Senator Anthony Petruccelli will deliver Greetings from the Commonwealth.
America the Beautiful will be sung by Tina Marie Talvi. The Principal Speaker is Richard Gay, US Army – Vietnam and the Presentation of Memorial Flowers / Wreath will be done by Winthrop Emblem Club #1.
A moment of Silence for all of those Veterans who have passed away will be observed. Closing words will be delivered by Richard Honan, US Army Veteran – Vietnam.

Taps and Honor Guard Salute will be led by American Legion Post 146 and God Bless America will be sung by Winthrop Youth Football Cheerleaders. The lowering and folding of the flag will be done by members of the American Legion Post 146.
