The organizers of the Neil Shapiro 5K Walk/Run and Cool Down Party will be at this weeks Winthrop Viking football game at Miller field, Friday, September 28, 2012 at 7pm. They will be selling tickets to their events which take place on Saturday September 29 starting with a 5K walk/run at Deer Island beginning at 11am and a Cool Down Party at the Winthrop Yacht Club with dinner, dancing and raffles starting at 7pm. They will also be starting their Silent Auction bidding at the game, which will continue into Saturday and conclude with the prize going to the highest bidder Saturday evening at the Yacht Club.
The silent auction prize will be an Authentic NBA signed basketball from the Boston Celtics including autographs from Paul Pierce, Ray Allen, Rajon Rondo, Kevin Garnett, Eddie House, Kendrick Perkins, Glen Davis, Tony Allen, Sam Cassell and more! The autographed ball is estimated at $500 value. Come get your bids in on this great item! Bidding starts at $250. As always, proceeds go to a great cause, with help from the Viking Pride Foundation to the Winthrop High School Art and Media Departments! !
