Happy New Year: Congratulations to Temple on Anniversary

As Temple Tifereth Israel celebrates it 100th anniversary this year, we want to wish our Jewish residents and members of the Tifereth congregation a happy and healthy new year. The Town Council honored the Temple at its meeting Tuesday night with the presentation of a citation to the temple’s president, Sandra Pellegrino, who has done so much to keep the congregation vibrant and successful.

We remember some of the past great leaders of the Temple brotherhood, such as Sam Newman and Dr. Benjamin Barton, and we realize what an important position the Temple has held in this town for a century.

And it was nice to see Councilor Craig Mael, whose mother Rona has been a leader at the Temple, be a part of the ceremony. We know the Temple is in good hands.
