Don’t Miss the Fun, WCAT’s Annual Cookout Fundraiser

This Sunday, August 26, affords all Winthrop residents a wonderful opportunity to thank WCAT Executive Director Michael Cabral, the board of directors, and staff for the great work the local cable television station does for the enjoyment and benefit of the town. To watch Cabral conduct a live, two-camera shoot of the Town Council meetings, making sure that the sound, camera angles, lighting, and direction are all clicking perfectly, is a study in technical excellence.

Cabral and company will host a cookout starting at noon at the Lodge of Elks patio and yard. A donation of $10 is requested and there will be a raffle for a high definition television. All proceeds will benefit the WCAT equipment fund and Cabral would like residents to join WCAT for an enjoyable afternoon of friends, food, music, and fun.

Let’s support Mike Cabral as he strives to give Winthrop the finest local cable access station it can be.
