One of the most enjoyable events on the calendar each year for the youngest ones in our community is the Character Breakfast and Easter Egg Hunt that will take place this Saturday at the Gorman/Fort Banks School on Kennedy Drive starting at 8:30 a.m.
Parks and Recreation Director Sean Driscoll and his staff have put together another fun-filled event with appearances by several of our favorites, notably, of course, the Easter Bunny himself (or herself).
It’s hard to believe how fast the time goes by, but we recall attending one of the first (if not THE first Character Breakfast) in 1994 with our then one year old daughter, for whom the big hit was Elmo from Sesame Street.
The Parks and Recreation Department keeps our youth busy with a series of great events and the Character Breakfast is one of them. For parents planning their April vacation activities for their children, the department has a great schedule for the week, which we promise will include fun for all.
