Presidential Primary Tuesday: Reminder That There Are Just Two Polling Places in the Town

There is a Massachusetts Presidential Primary on Tuesday and we remind Winthrop voters that only two polling locations will be available, one at the Winthrop Middle School and the other at the Senior Center. Shuttle transportation will be provided for seniors. There is not expected to be a large turnout, although local resident Valentino Capobianco is seeking a seat on the State Democratic Committee (and the Winthrop High and Suffolk University graduate has received the endorsement of Speaker of the House Robert DeLeo.)

It’s “Super Tuesday” with 10 presidential primaries scheduled, so it should be an interesting day for those who have been following the Republican race for the nomination, a field that includes our former Governor, Mitt Romney.
