Congratulations to Steve Calla on his appointment to the position of director of the Winthrop Department of Public Works. Steve has worked for the DPW for several years and had been the interim director since the departure of former director Dave Hickey. It’s great to see Steve’s outstanding service rewarded with a promotion to the top position in the department. Steve was selected from a large field of candidates after an extensive application and interview process.
His “local knowledge†of all the streets, parks, buildings, and facilities in the town is an asset.
We wish him the best of luck in his new position.
