Of Revere, formerly of Orient Heights
Marie S. (Domenico) Tuzzalino of Revere, formerly Orient Heights East Boston, died on August 2.
A graduate of Practical Arts High School in Boston, she was a retiree of NYNX, a member of C.W.A. local 1302 and a member of the International Ladies Garment Workers Union.
She was the beloved wife of the late Salvatore Tuzzalino with whom she shared 42 years of marriage; loving mother of Nadine Tuzzalino of Revere and Robert Tuzzalino and his wife, Beverly of Georgetown; dear sister of Florence Maresca of Boston, Irene Clague of Brockton, John Domenico of Orient Heights East Boston and the late Julia Caruso and Josephine Columbo; fond aunt of many nieces, nephews and friends.
Her Funeral will be held from Vazza’s “Beechwood” Funeral Home, 262 Beach Street, Revere on Friday morning at 9 a.m. followed by a Mass of Christian Burial in the Immaculate Conception Church, Revere at 10 a.m. Family and friends may visit today, Thursday, from 4 to 8 p.m. Burial will be at Woodlawn Cemetery, Everett. Mary Rodes
Winthrop Catholic Woman’s Club member and long time St. John’s Church Eucharistic Minister
Mary L. (Harrington) Rodes of Winthrop died at the Boston Medical Center on July 29. She was 88 years old.
A U.S. Navy veteran of World War II, she was a member of the Winthrop Catholic Woman’s Club and a Eucharistic Minister at St. John’s for many years. Prior to her retirement, she worked as a clerk in the family business of Rodes and Sons Produce Distributors.
The beloved wife of the late John J. Rodes, she was born in Boston, the daughter of the late Melville and Helen (Gallagher) Harrington. She was the devoted mother of Rev. Kenneth J. Rodes S.D.B.-CDR-CHC, USN, (RET), of New Orleans, LA, and Richard J. Rodes and his wife, Nancy of Winthrop; adored grandmother of Matthew and Andrew Rodes; dear sister of the late Dorothy McSweeney and John and Melville Harrington Jr. and is also survived by several nieces and nephews.

Joyce Murphy
Retired Nurse’s Aide
Joyce A. (Matson) Murphy of Winthrop died at the Chelsea Jewish Nursing Home on July 27. She was 68 years old.
Prior to her retirement, Mrs. Murphy worked as a Nurses Aide for the former Governor Winthrop Nursing Home.
The beloved wife of Leo J. Murphy, she was born in Fitchburg, the daughter of the late Tauro and Dorothy (Sherwin) Matson. She was the devoted mother of Anne Eruzione and her husband, Vincent, Barbara Murphy, Sue Perrotti and her husband, Jeff, all of Winthrop and Michael Murphy and his wife, Susan of Plymouth; adored grandmother of Jessica, Nicole, Vinnie, Matthew, Taylor, Cathrine, Daniel, Jeana, Sam, Isabella and Chloe; great grandmother of Skyla; sister of Bruce Matson and his wife, Lee of Washington. She is also survived by her cousins, Dana and Marco and her nephew, Rev. Thomas R. Murphy.

Maura A. (Carney) Bang of Winthrop, formerly of Croton, NY, died suddenly on July 24.
She was the beloved wife of Peter V. Bang; mother of Christopher V. and Melissa Bang, both of Winthrop.

Lifelong Beachmont resident
Mary Ann (DelGrosso) Coluntino, a lifelong resident of Beachmont, Revere died on July 28 following a courageous battle with cancer under the loving care of her twin daughters, Nancy and Dena along with the support of truly caring family and friends. She was 73 years old.
She was a graduate of Revere High School and worked at Sheraton Worldwide Headquarters. She will always be remembered for the warmth and love she spread to others, her kind spirit, generosity, and good sense of humor. She loved her family and friends and expressed it through her joy of cooking and dining with them.
She was the beloved wife of Leo J. Coluntino, loving mother of Dina and Dave Alioto of Winthrop and Nancy and Doug Finnegan of Peabody, dear sister of Jennie Hittinger of Saugus, cherished nana of Tyler, Ali, Jade, and Ava Lee.
Her family would like to extend a special thank you to Dr. John Niles and Dr. Donald Lawrence and all the MGH caregivers, family friend, Ms. Donna Delorey of Winthrop, Hospice caregivers, particularly Melissa, for all their kindness, caring and help over the past year.

Grace M. (Marabella) DelSolio of Winchester died on July 29.
She was the devoted mother Janice C. Bruce and her husband, Wallace of Essex, Anne M. Hopkins and her husband, Michael of Woburn, Susan Hannaford and her husband, Neil of Reading, John L. DelSolio and his wife Maureen, of Winthrop and the late Rosemary E. DelSolio; cherished sister of Jennie Amico of Stoneham, Domenic Marabella of Vermont, Ann Skopelitis of New Hampshire, Mary Price of Conneticut, Richard Marabella of Winchester and the late Francis Marabella and Elizabeth Karis. She is also survived by 12 loving grandchildren and one great-grandson.
A Funeral Mass celebrating her life will be held today, Thursday, August 4 at 10 a.m. in St. Mary’s Church, 155 Washington St., Winchester. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend.
