Peter Gill Considers a Run for Presidency

Peter Gill said that he is “contemplating” a run for the position of president of the Winthrop Town Council. Gill has issued the following statement:

“Several local residents for whom I have a great deal of respect have contacted me and expressed their desire for me to consider running for Town Council President. They say that they believe that I have the experience, commitment and integrity to move our Town government in a positive direction for the future of Winthrop.

These citizens are strongly urging me to seek this very important leadership position expressing confidence that I would make a difference.

I am, at this point, considering seeking the office of Council President and will make my decision soon. I encourage any citizen input as I make my decision. Feel free to call me at 617-846-3867.”
