Monday, Jan. 3

8:47 a.m. – Party reports that his ex-wife has stolen his identity and used it obtain service for electricity.

9:46 a.m. – Party called to report a past shoplifter at a Woodside Avenue business. Unit 92 reports he has information and a report will be submitted.

9:48 a.m. Sgt. Hickey reports strong odor of gas in the area (Metcalf Square) he is working a detail.

2:29 p.m. – Caller reports damaged utility poles on Shirley Street. Call referred to Fire Department.

4:39 p.m. – Caller from Grovers Avenue requests assistance getting into his apartment from which he is locked out. His child is inside the apartment. WFD and W93 dispatched and reports.

4:57 p.m. – Caller reports he spent New Year’s night at a home on Lincoln Street. When he woke, he discovered his gold chain was missing.

Tuesday, Jan. 4

12:08 a.m. – Reports a suspicious car at the cemetery. He will check the individuals. Party was just placing a decoration at a grave.

5:50 .m. – Viking Cab driver reports finding an elderly woman fallen down in front of WCAT. EMS dispatched.

7:19 a.m. – According to call, tractor trailer unit is blocking Walden Street. Officer spoke to the driver who has disconnected the tractor. Street is no longer obstructed.

7:49 a.m. – Party reports her older sister assaulted her earlier, causing her o strike her head. Party refused medical treatment offered to her, but would like to see an officer regarding charging her sister with domestic assault and battery.

10:05 a.m. – Party from a local store reports a homeless male has come into the store three times and she would like the police to check on this suspicious individual. Officer reports locating the individual who was in the alley eating lunch. No wants or warrants on the male subject.

11:02 a.m. – Party located a discarded syringe near the shrubs at a Main Street location.

12:24 p.m. – Party reports a dog walker is locked inside the fenced-in area on Shirley Street to get away from two loose dogs. Officer reports speaking with the dog walker and said there is no problem as the two dogs have left the area.

3:12 p.m. – Party reports kids are banging on the windows at a store on Putnam Street. Officer reports clearing the group out of the mall area.

6:47 p.m. Party reports a hydrant on Willow Avenue is leaking water. WFD notified and will investigate.

9:05 p.m. – Caller reports the rear door of a Putnam Street building is open. Unit reports walking through the building with occupants. All is OK.

Wednesday, Jan. 5

2:36 – A series of directed patrols are conducted throughout the town with the last one beginning at 2:36 a.m. All businesses, schools, and residential areas are reported as quiet.

5:11 a.m. – Caller from Overlook Drive reports a male was sleeping in the entry way of an Overlook Drive entrance. He is now walking up Summit Avenue. Unites dispatched.

6 a.m. – Caller from Marshall Street reports someone broke into his house sometime Tuesday evening. Units are dispatched. Officer reports that a break did occur at the rear door. Approximately $700 in cash taken. Officer does not believe detective could pull prints. No apparent evidence left at scene.

1:29 p.m. – Party reports furniture has been discarded from one of the apartments above a Putnam Street business and it has been left out on the sidewalk since last Friday and it is now halfway into the street. Officer reports speaking with the landlord who will removed it from the street and have the renters purchase stickers for proper disposal.

3:01 p.m. – Party reports a large delivery truck blocking the entire street (Strugis at Shirley Street). Officer reports motor vehicle removed upon his arrival.

5:07 p.m. – Caller reports church door open on Tewksbury Street.

9:18 p.m. W-92 reports observing a motor vehicle parked facing the wrong direction on Veterans Road. Parking ticket is issued.

Thursday, Jan. 6

1:12 a.m. – There were a series of directed patrols throughout the town that began Wednesday at 10:08 p.m. and continued through 2:23 a.m. All areas of the town were quiet.

3:53 a.m. – Caller reports hearing his neighbors arguing. Officers report, having one under arrest for domestic assault and battery, disturbing the peace, and malicious destruction of property over $250.

9:43 a.m. – Motor vehicle parked on Quincy Avenue with a guest pass for more than four days. Parking enforcement is asked to follow up on this area for violations.

1:35 p.m. – Property owner reports an Underhill Street property has been boarded up and there are no tenants remaining on the premises. He reports nobody should be on the property and he is meeting with the building inspector on Tuesday to discuss his uture options.

3:27 p.m. – Party reports someone working on the street with a blow torch near gasoline station pumps. Officer reports the maintenance crew is filling in pothole on Governors Drive and it is not a public safety issue.

5:50 p.m. – Party from Governors Drive reports smoke or dust from a fire extinguisher in the hallway. WFD notified and will respond.

Friday, Jan. 7

2:09 a.m. There are directed patrols throughout the town and all areas are quiet.

10:44 a.m. – Party from Somerset Avenue reports her driveway is blocked by two parked motor vehicles. Vehicle was moved upon aarival.

3:19 p.m. – Party on Sagamore Avenue reports her dog is struck in a gate at her home and needs WFD to assist her. Animal Control Officer is notified and will respond as well.
