Dorothy ‘Dolly’ Vito

Winthrop Art Festival Ribbon Winner

Dorothy S. "Dolly" (Sullivan) Vito of Revere died on March 5 at the Mass. General Hospital surrounded by friends and family.

Mrs. Vito was employed at DeMaino’s restaurant for over 15 years. She was a graduate of Revere High School, class of 1954. She also won many ribbons for her art work at the Winthrop Art Festival.

She was the loving mother of Alyce Vito of Revere and Ralph S. Vito and his wife, Cheryl, of Melrose; dear sister of Robert Sullivan of Revere and Paul Sullivan of New Bedford and cherished grandmother of Nicholas and Alexandria Vito.

Funeral arrangements are by Vazza’s "Beechwood" Funeral Home, 262 Beach Street, Revere. Burial will be at Woodlawn Cemetery, today, Thursday, March 10 at 11 a.m. For guestbook and directions, please visit: www.vazzafunerals.com

 

Barbara Vosburgh Hunter

Of Cotuit, formerly of Winthrop

Barbara Vosburgh Hunter of Cotuit, MA died on March 5.

Born in Dorchester, she was raised in Winthrop and worked for the John Hancock Insurance Co. in Boston. After years as a homemaker raising a family, she returned to work for Sears Roebuck in Natick. After retirement, she and her husband moved to Florida before returning and settling in Cotuit.

She was the daughter of Cora Pearl Vosburgh Flaherty and Walter J. Flaherty; wife of the late Malcolm N. Hunter and leaves behind a son William V. Hunter of Brookline, a daughter Joan B. McAdams of Holliston, and two grandchildren, Ryan and Erin McAdams, both of Holliston.

Funeral arrangements were completed by the John-Lawrence Funeral Home, Marstons Mills, MA. Burial was in the Massachusetts National Cemetery in Bourne.
