PSAC set to begin a season of events
The Point Shirley Athletic Club (PSAC) is ready to launch the events on their 2009 schedule with Friday’s annual Seaside Striders Road Race serving as the traditional kickoff.
The PSAC events attract residents from Winthrop and surrounding communities. The organization donates proceeds from their activities to local organizations. The mission of the PSAC is to promote health and fitness in Winthrop’s youth through running and other endurance sports.
The PSAC deserves our support. Art Gray, PSAC vice president, invites people to come on down to Miller Field Friday night and support the runners and enjoy a fun-filled event with the group.
A nice gesture by Bea Lupis
We welcome the opportunity to say thank you, on behalf of Winthrop Fire Chief Paul Flanagan, to Mrs. Bea Lupis and members of her family on their donation to the department for several new windows at the fire station.
The windows have been dedicated by the family in memory of Salvatore Lupis, their husband and father.
