The explosive and ever-exciting Winthrop Bantam A team (ages 13-15 years old) has qualified for this season’s Massachusetts Hockey Association’s Bantam Tier-II State Hockey Tournament, which will be held at the John Ryan Skating Arena, in Watertown, beginning tonight (Thursday). The tournament, which includes over a dozen teams from throughout Massachusetts, will continue through Sunday.
The Winthrop Bantam roster includes the following players: Sean Donahue, Michael Paulson, Mitchell Paulson, Dan Feeley, Jake McKinnon, Bobby Clewer, Nick Amatucci, Derek Eruzione, Tommy Lund, Steven Goddard, Jim Barker, Luke Hodgkins, Dave Capone, and Steven Waites. The team is coached by Anthony “Butch†Martucci, Sean Donahue, Ken Hodgkins, and Kevin McKinnon.
Tonight – Game 1 vs. Stoneham at 7 p.m.
Saturday – Game 2 vs. Heland at 7 a.m.
Saturday – Game 3 vs. Tri-Valley at 2:30 p.m.
Sunday – Semifinal games at 7:30 a.m. and 9 a.m. (for qualifying teams)
Sunday – State Championship Game at 4:30 p.m. (for qualifying teams)

I was horrfied watching some these Winthrop kids antics during state tournament. I'm sure that not all these kids are punks but their behavior celebrating goals and wins was an embarassment. I'm guessing the coach had a lot to do with the teams horrendous attitude and behavior. Congrats on State Title and shame on you coaches and parents for allowing most of these young men to behave like they did this past weekend (in a word disgraceful). Act like you've been there before.
