MONDAY, FEBRUARY 9

8:11 AM: A caller reported a large sinkhole on Somerset Avenue.

9:26 AM: A Sunnyside Avenue resident reported a breaking and entering (B&E) into her motor vehicle (MV).

10:18 AM: A resident came into the station to report an assault and battery (A&B) that occurred in the town parking lot on George Street. The other combatant will be called and it will be determined whether to seek an application for a criminal complaint against one or both parties.

11:12 AM: A Woodside Park resident reported a B&E into his MV.

12:24 PM: An officer working a detail on Loring Road ordered a tow for a MV with an expired registration.

12:28 PM: A 209A order was received from the East Boston District Court to be served upon a local resident named as the defendant.

3:05 PM: A caller reported that an infant was left alone in an SUV parked at Michael’s Mall. The mother came out of the store as the officer was arriving.

3:18 PM: A Revere Street resident reported that her front storm door had been kicked and damaged.

6:38 PM: Officers dispersed a group of rowdy youths from the area of Trident Avenue.

7:16 PM: Officers dispersed a group of rowdy youths from the area of the White Hen Pantry.

8:29 PM: Lieutenant Scarpa ordered a tow for a MV with an expired registration on Woodside Avenue.

8:54 PM: Officers responded to a report of a fight among two groups of youths involving knives. The officers arrested the following: John Anthony Walker, 17, of 80 Sagamore Ave., on charges of two counts of A&B, two counts of assault and battery with a deadly weapon, making a threat to commit a crime, and malicious destruction of property over $250; Michael J. Walker, 17, of 80 Sagamore Ave., on charges of two counts of A&B and two counts of assault and battery with a deadly weapon; and James M. Murray, 17, of 86v Sagamore Ave., on charges of two counts of A&B and two counts of assault and battery with a deadly weapon.

TUESDAY, FEBRUARY 10

2:15 PM: Officer Scorzella served a 209A order issued by the East Boston District that named a local resident as the defendant.

2:28 PM: Officers moved two groups of youths along from the area of the middle school. The youths reportedly were rivals from an incident the previous evening.

2:49 PM: Officers dispersed a group of youths who reportedly were fighting in front of the CVS.

4:10 PM: A Trident Avenue resident reported that a child had found a knife near the scene of the incident from the previous evening. The officers who retrieved the knife determined it was the exact type of knife that had been recovered the previous evening, and also placed this knife into the evidence box.

4:56 PM: Officer S. Perrin moved along a group of youths who had congregated in front of Demetri Liquors.

WEDNESDAY, FEBRUARY 11

1:33 PM: School Superintendent Steven Jenkins requested marked cruisers be at the middle school when classes are let out.

4:12 PM: A Fremont Street resident reported youths were throwing ice and cans at her house.

5:14 PM: Officers stopped a MV on Governors Drive and issued a citation to the operator.

THURSDAY, FEBRUARY 12

1:05 PM: Winthrop officers assisted MBTA and State Police with the arrests of Jennifer Mello, 27, of 169 Main St., and Aaron M. DesPlaines, 31, of the same address, on fugitive from justice warrants.

3:36 PM: A resident called to report a witness to the stabbing from earlier in the week wished to talk to the police. The caller was advised to have the witness, a juvenile, come to the station with a parent.

3:41 PM: A report of a raccoon on a fence hissing at passersby on Somerset Avenue was referred to the animal control officer (ACO).

FRIDAY, FEBRUARY 13

1:14 AM: A tow was ordered for a MV on Main Street that is on the parking clerk’s list for unpaid tickets.

2:45 AM: A tow was ordered for a MV on Woodside Avenue that is on the parking clerk’s list for unpaid tickets.

4:02 AM: A tow was ordered for a MV on Winthrop Street that is on the parking clerk’s list for unpaid tickets.

8:35 AM: A Circuit Road resident reported that his MV was struck by a hit-and- run operator while it was parked in front of his house.

12:38: PM: Middle School Principal Haskell reported threats between students. One student came to the station, but refused to cooperate. An officer will investigate and seek an application for a criminal complaint if warranted.

1:02 PM: Officer Crisafi ordered a tow for a truck parked the wrong way on Banks Street, which had a registration plate belonging to another MV that was revoked for insurance cancellation.

2:17 PM: Officer Acone retrieved a hypodermic syringe that a resident reported was on the ground on Washington Street.

SATURDAY, FEBRUARY 14

5:39 AM: An officer dispersed a rowdy group of youths on Veterans Road.

10:31 AM: A Banks Street resident reported a B&E into her premises.

9:16 PM: Officers broke up a large teenage party at a Circuit Road residence. Three juveniles were brought to the station for their parents to pick them up.

SUNDAY, FEBRUARY 15

1:51 AM: A tow was ordered for a MV on Grovers Avenue that is on the parking clerk’s list for unpaid tickets.

11:38 AM: Officer S. Perrin dispersed a small group of loud youths from Trident Avenue.

3:30 PM: A caller reported that several items had been stolen from her father’s apartment on Golden Drive.

10:40 PM: A tow was ordered for a MV parked on Orlando Avenue that was blocking a driveway.
